A few of the projects we have been involved in over the years...

Mining Industry:

Gigameg have surveyed, designed and deployed numerous wireless solutions within the mining industry. We recently provided a turnkey wireless solution which included light weight, controller based, indoor wireless technology combined with outdoor mesh and high capacity backhaul links. This enabled our client to have full mobility for various applications within mining site.

Banking Industry:

For over 5 years we have maintained an extensive wireless network for one of South-Africa’s largest non-commercial bank .Utilising mainly non line of site ISM band high speed wireless technology the client is able to maintain mission critical applications at up times exceeding 99.99% .

By applying “RF Smart” techniques, Disaster Recovery solutions was also deployed at more commonly known Commercial Banks in South-Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa where ISM band congestion normally makes deployment almost impossible.

Enterprise Industry:

With the vision of providing truly Wireless Enterprise Solutions, Gigameg has designed and deployed Hundreds of Solutions to our Enterprise clients in the past. From Building to Building connectivity to Converged Voice, Video and Data with full mobility functionality.

Our recent projects include 300 Mbps Backbone Installations between client branches as well as fully mobile Indoor Wireless Solutions that support Voice and Data. All of these solutions provided by Gigameg in the past have focussed on a decrease in Capex and Opex while increasing productivity through true Enterprise Wireless Mobility.

Warehousing, Storage and Retail:

Within the warehousing and storage environment vast deployments of various size has been implemented to date al for the purpose of receiving and dispatch. Utilising Industry leading equipment together with top class mobile scanning devices we recently installed a complete solution for well known enterprises within in South-Africa. At the retail end of the market we have teamed up with strategic partners to deliver a complete indoor solution for a major retail fashion group within South-Africa. Each store across the country was planned through a comprehensive Airmagnet survey to ensure seamless roll-out in this sensitive environment.

Medical Industry:

Through partnership and alliance we have delivered various indoor and outdoor Wireless Solution to the Local Public Health Sector as well as the Private Health Sector. These networks range from Indoor Access via Technology selected in partnership with our Vendors to Outdoor Solutions designed around the specific needs of our clients.

Local Government:

In our vast experience of Local Government Network deployments , we have ensured that basic service delivery has taken place. These networks have enabled local Municipalities to utilise the cutting edge wireless technology available to deliver pre-paid electricity to previously disadvantaged communities which in the past was difficult to obtain or nearly impossible. Thus making Local Government services more efficient in many ways.
